Directions to the Museum


From the south (Albany, Troy): 

Take I-787 North.  Follow it to the end of the highway, where it intersects with NY 32.  At that traffic light, take a right on to NY 32 (Saratoga Avenue).  Follow NY 32 over the bridge into the town of Waterford.  After the first traffic light you will see a NAPA Auto Parts on your right hand side, turn into the second entrance and follow signs around back of the building.  The signs will lead you to the right, follow to the end which is the entrance to the Museum parking lot.  The Homestead is a large white house with pillars.

From the west (Latham, Colonie, Schenectady): 

Take NY 7 to I-787 North.  Follow it to the end of the highway, where it intersects with NY 32.  At that traffic light, take a right on to NY 32 (Saratoga Avenue).  Follow NY 32 over the bridge into the town of Waterford.  After the first traffic light you will see a NAPA Auto Parts on your right hand side, turn into the second entrance and follow signs around back of the building.  The signs will lead you to the right, follow to the end which is the entrance to the Museum parking lot.  The Homestead is a large white house with pillars.

From the north (Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs): 

Take I-87 to exit 8A (Grooms Road—Waterford).  At the end of the exit take a left onto Grooms Road.  Follow Grooms Road for several miles )cross over Route 9), through the towns of Halfmoon and Waterford.  In Waterford, Grooms Road turns into Middletown Road.  Follow Middletown Road into the village of Waterford.  At the end of the road, take a right onto NY 32 (Broad Street).  Follow NY 32 for about a mile.  After the McDonalds on your right, you will see a shopping plaza on your left, turn into the plaza and go between the two buildings around to the back and turn right, follow to end and you will see the Museum entrance.  The Homestead is a large white house with pillars.
